Both partners are Kansas City natives, graduated from the University of Kansas, and worked for well-known and respected private equity firms on the east coast prior to establishing Great Range Capital.

David B. Dillon
Mr. Dillon is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR). The company employs 334,000 associates who serve customers in more than 3,600 supermarkets, convenience and jewelry stores under two dozen names. Kroger also operates 40 food-processing plants.
Dave has served in a variety of leadership roles since joining the Dillons Company in 1976 with its King Soopers division in Denver, Colorado. During his career, he served in various positions with Fry's Food Stores and with the Dillon Companies prior to being named president of Dillon Companies in 1986.
He was appointed executive vice president of Kroger in 1990 and was elected president and chief operating officer of the company in 1995. Dave was named CEO of Kroger in 2003.
Dave is a member of the board of directors of the Convergys Corporation. He also serves on the board of trustees for the University of Cincinnati Foundation, the board of trustees for the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati, the board of trustees for the University of Kansas Endowment, the Board of Bethesda, Inc. and the Board of Catalyst. Dave holds a B.S. in business from the University of Kansas and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University.
