Great Range Capital Welcomes Zachary Neuner

Zachary NeunerWhen seeking someone new to join our investment team, the process isn’t all that dissimilar from when we’re analyzing business opportunities. Both require extensive due diligence, and after getting to know Zachary Neuner, we’re confident he has the skills, values, and ambition to seamlessly fit in at Great Range Capital.

Prior to joining GRC, Zachary served as a Senior Analyst at Advantage Capital in St. Louis, MO, where he also interned while obtaining a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Missouri. During this time, he was responsible for due diligence, financial analysis, and portfolio oversight of equity and debt financings across a wide variety of industry sectors, including manufacturing, technology, and business services. Zachary is passionate about building relationships with diverse people and teams and loves that the private equity field offers endless opportunities to learn about new industries, investment strategies, and methods of analysis.

“We’re really looking forward to integrating Zachary into the investment team,” said Paul Maxwell, Managing Partner at GRC. “He will be an important contributor to our growth as we continue to invest in and partner with Midwestern companies.”

A commitment to the Midwest is part of the fabric of GRC and is a value shared by Zachary. Born and raised in a small central Missouri town, he’s seen firsthand how underrepresented midwestern companies are when it comes to institutional finance and is eager to work towards filling the gap. While no stranger to the Heartland, Zachary is new to Kansas City. But as his fiancé is from the area, he’s already had a chance to develop a taste for the city’s specialty coffee—particularly from Messenger Coffee Company and The Roasterie, both of which are part of our portfolio company FairWave Holdings.

Of course, getting the fit right is a two-way street, and Zachary has done his homework too.

“I was attracted to the fact that GRC has a team comprised of smart, hardworking, and successful finance professionals, and is positioned for growth in the coming years,” he explained. He added, “I was also drawn to being part of a smaller team, as the impacts of your efforts are more substantive on the overall organization and can thus make the work more rewarding and meaningful. Moreover, I appreciate that the firm has a solid culture and really cares for its portfolio company management teams and employees, taking a partnership approach to investing with the goal of creating successful outcomes for all involved.”

Zachary has already hit the ground running at GRC. If you’d like to welcome him, pick his brain about the best coffee drinks in KC, or swap Mizzou stories, you can reach him at 913-378-0854 and zachary.neuner@greatrangecapital.com.
