Great Range Capital’s Larry Flanagan and Philip Scheuerman Promoted to Vice President
To be able to grow companies, we have to make sure that we, as individuals and as a team, are growing too-and we aren’t necessarily talking about numbers. That’s why we’re pleased to share that two Great Range Capital Associates-Larry Flanagan and Philip Scheuerman-have recently been promoted to the role of Vice President.
A former GRC intern, Larry officially joined the team as an Associate in 2016 after working as an Analyst in the Consumer Products and Retail Investment Banking Group at UBS in New York City. While at GRC, Larry has been responsible for the origination, diligence and execution of investment opportunities. He’s also worked closely with the management teams of our portfolio companies to drive growth and performance-all while continuing to serve as an Officer in the Army National Guard.
“It’s been exciting to be a part of Great Range Capital as the firm has continued to grow and scale,” Larry said, “and I’m grateful for the support I’ve received from my colleagues as well as our portfolio companies and investors. I’m looking forward to helping to further build our platform as the partner of choice for founders and businesses in the lower middle market.”
Philip started his career at KPMG in Washington, D.C. and graduated the ranks to Senior Associate before becoming an Analyst in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis, MN, and then Associate at McCarthy Capital in Omaha, NE. Since joining GRC as an Associate in 2018, Philip has led the execution of platform acquisitions, bolt-ons and portfolio company dispositions. He’s also played a pivotal role in supporting our portfolio companies with corporate development efforts, financial reporting and growth initiatives.
“One of the things I enjoy most about the firm is the collaborative environment,” said Philip. “We’re a lean and energetic team, and as a result, we can move quickly and decisively. I enjoy driving the process and look forward to the team expecting that out of me.”
“Great Range Capital wouldn’t be where or what it is today without the hard work of Larry and Philip,” said Managing Partner Paul Maxwell. “These promotions are both a recognition of the incredible contributions they’ve made, as well as an opportunity to continue growing their skills and experience.”
