Mark Boutelle

Mark is an accomplished executive with proven strategic, operational and change management leadership capabilities.  Mark has led several +$800 million platforms for a major Fortune 250 Industrial/Manufacturing company, driving increases in revenues, margins, and value.

Mark recently served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Deublin Company, a portfolio company of Hoerbiger. As the global leader in rotary unions, an engineered solution that allows transfer of pressurized fluid from a stationary source into rotating machinery for heating, cooling or transfer of fluid power. Mark successfully grew the company more than 40% in 2 years, while doubling EBITDA.

Mark previously served as Group President of Illinois Tool Works (NYSE: ITW). ITW is a $14B decentralized, entrepreneurial manufacturer of engineered products.  In one capacity, Mark was responsible for six global divisions with revenues in excess of $800 million that focus on industry leading and differentiated secondary packaging consumables, equipment, and service.

Mark joined ITW in July 1998 and held positions of increasing responsibility over his tenure. Prior to 1998, Mark spent 11 years with Johns Manville, and held various sales and marketing positions that drove significant revenue growth within the Roofing Systems Division.

As a successful Strategic Leader, Mark has built growth platforms, orchestrated successful turnarounds in domestic and international markets through 80/20 simplification, focused end-user market strategies, and building strong leadership teams.  He is best known for his strategic market skills and insights, leading purpose driven change, creating differentiated value propositions and business models, and driving operational excellence. Further, these strategic skills differentiate Mark as someone who has the ability to assess end markets, aligning the business on where to play, and how to win.

Mark has Board of Directors’ experience, on both private and Non-profit boards.  He is an independent thinker, known for asking insightful questions, and is able to act in complex and ambiguous environments.  Deep experience in strategy, human resources, operational discipline and mergers and acquisitions.

In addition, Mark serves on several Advisory Boards at Marquette University, where he was honored in 2018, as the recipient of the College of Business’s Professional Achievement Award.  Mark is a current Board Member of Aspire of Illinois and is a past Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lake County IL.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a minor in Economics from Marquette University. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Marquette University with specializations in Marketing and Finance.
