Tom Volini Joins Great Range Capital’s Market Ambassador Program

Great Range Capital (GRC) is pleased to welcome Tom Volini as the newest member of its Market Ambassador Program (MAP) where he will help GRC find companies to invest in throughout the Midwest.

With more than 27 years of experience exclusively representing office tenants in lease negotiations, Volini has completed assignments totaling more than 23 million square feet with financial consideration in excess of $8 billion.

He currently serves as Executive Vice President with Colliers’ Occupier Advisors Group where he’s responsible for growing the company’s tenant representation platform in the Midwest region while servicing and expanding the strategic national accounts practice group. A skilled strategist, Volini’s clients benefit from his in-depth analysis, negotiating expertise and creative real estate solutions. He’s been among the top 10% of all Colliers brokerage professionals every year since joining the company in 2011. He’s also been nominated as a finalist twice by the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP) for Tenant Office Lease Transaction of the Year for completing three of the largest office lease tenant representation transactions in Chicago.

Volini joined Colliers after spending 10 years as an Executive Vice President with the Office Tenant Representation Services Group of Grubb & Ellis where he specialized in tenant representation in the Chicago region and nationally and was regularly ranked as one of the firm’s Top 20 producing brokers in the country. Prior to this, he served as Vice President for U.S. Equities and as an associate with Tanguay-Burke-Stratton.

Volini’s business experience spans beyond commercial real estate. He’s served on the boards of several companies, including Midwestern Electric, Cevaal Insurance (where he was Vice Chairman) and Kansas State Bank, and currently serves as a board member for both Lyon County State Bank and the Real Estate Investment Association. He’s a member of The Economic Club of Chicago and The Chicago Club and formerly served on The Winbury Group’s executive management committee as a senior equity investor.

Volini’s community involvement is as diverse as his business background. He donates his time and resources to a number of nonprofit organizations, including the Chicago Architecture Foundation, Kanakuk Camps, Friends of Palm Beach, the National Shrine of Saint Francis Xavier Cabrini, Pembroke Hill School, the Kansas City Symphony, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Village Presbyterian Church Food Pantry. He also serves on the board of directors for Phoenix Family.

A graduate of the University of Kansas, Volini earned a bachelor’s degree in English and returned to his alma mater to complete the MBA Essentials program.

“Tom has an impressive resume and a fantastic network in the Midwest and beyond,” said Ryan Sprott. ”We’re excited to have someone of his experience and character join the MAP team and look forward to the new relationships we’ll be able to build through this partnership.”
